What is Loansome Doc?
Loansome Doc enables PubMed and NLM Gateway users to order documents found in MEDLINE by sending the requests to a library.
Affiliated users can send electronic orders for full-text articles to Hawaii Medical Library (HML) by ordering online using the Loansome Doc Ordering Screen. Document requests are sent to DOCLINE, the National Library of Medicine online ordering system, which transfers them to HML. HML will fill the request or, if the journal article is unavailable, route it to a library which has the article. In either case, the requestor receives a photocopy of the article by pickup, mail, fax or e-mail.
Who are Affiliated Users?
Affiliated users of the Queen's Medical Center, Hawaii Medical Library include staff, medical staff, researchers, and in-patients of the Queen's Medical Center and affiliated companies of the Queen's Health Systems and residents in the Hawaii Residency and Dental Residency programs.
