The
Mamiya Medical Heritage Center houses approximately 200 medical artifacts
and instruments. The bulk of the collection is comprised of various instruments
and artifacts once used by Hawaii physicians in both general practice
as well the clinical specialties during the late 1800s and early 1900s.
A large portion of the present collection was generously donated from
the private holdings of surgeon and general physician, Charles S. Judd,
Jr.
Artifacts are arranged according to the terminology used by the National Library of Medicine.
